Honeymoon in China: HPIM0411

On September 10th, 2 days after our wedding, Helen and I left on a two week honeymoon in China. We had met each other more than six years prior to the happy event and it was only fitting that we should go back.

A symbol of imperial power. The classic red doors found in so many Chinese imperial buildings. Note the 81 golden knobs on each door. 9 was considered a holy and imperial number (and lucky, too), so 9 by 9 had to be extra good.
