On May 14th, Police entered Christiania to tear down the remnants of a house that had burned down in 2002. The reason was, that some people had decided to break the current truce by trying to make it habitable again. When police arrived, Christiania residents and others decided to make it a reason for fires and anarchy. This is the second time in 2007 that this has been the view from my apartment. Hardly a peaceful movement. But still a great neighbourhood.
